Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Kribs (kribs.app and related subdomains, collectively the “Service”), operated by Araxys Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using Kribs you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. What Kribs is — and what it isn’t

Kribs is a discovery platform for flatmate listings in Mumbai. We aggregate listings from public Facebook groups and let users post their own. We help renters and listers find each other.

Kribs is not a real estate agent or broker.We don’t verify listings, sign leases, hold deposits, process rent payments, or guarantee any transaction. Any agreement between a renter and a lister is strictly between those two parties. We are not a party to it and bear no responsibility for outcomes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Kribs. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

We use Google sign-in to authenticate users. You’re responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Any activity on Kribs under your account is treated as yours.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms — for example, by posting fake listings, scraping our platform, spamming other users, or impersonating someone else. Where possible we’ll give notice; for serious violations we may act without warning.

4. Listings you post

By posting a listing on Kribs you confirm that:

You retain all rights to the content you post. By posting, you grant Kribs a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, host, and distribute the listing on our platform for the purpose of running the Service. This licence ends when you delete the listing — except for residual copies in backups (which we retire on a normal cycle, max 90 days) and any aggregated / de-identified analytics.

5. Listings scraped from Facebook

Some listings on Kribs are sourced from public Facebook groups where the original poster made them publicly accessible. We re-display the post content (text, photos, name, contact number, post URL) on Kribs so renters can find it.

If you posted in one of those groups and don’t want your listing on Kribs, email support@kribs.app with a link to your post. We’ll remove it within 7 days.

7. Contact between renters and listers

When you click “Contact” or “Enquire on Facebook” we send you to WhatsApp or Facebook with the lister’s details. Any conversation that follows is between you and them, on those external platforms, under those platforms’ terms. Kribs does not host or mediate this communication.

Use common sense: meet in public places, verify the flat exists, never transfer money before seeing the property and signing a lease. Kribs cannot help with disputes that arise from rental arrangements made through the platform.

8. Pricing

Kribs is currently free for both renters and listers. If we introduce paid features in the future, we’ll update these Terms and notify active users before any charge applies. We don’t take a percentage of rent paid between you and a lister, ever.

9. Intellectual property

The Kribs brand, logo, design, code, and original written content are owned by Araxys Technologies and protected by Indian and international copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or reuse them without our written permission.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Kribs is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t guarantee that listings are accurate, listers are who they say they are, properties exist as described, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. We make our best effort, but the underlying data comes from third-party platforms and we can’t verify it all at scale.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Kribs and Araxys Technologies are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to losses from fraudulent listings, miscommunication with listers, broken lease agreements, lost deposits, or unfit living conditions.

Our total liability to you in connection with the Service is capped at ₹1,000 INRor the amount you’ve paid us in the prior 12 months, whichever is higher.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Araxys Technologies harmless from any claims arising from your use of Kribs, your posted listings, or your interactions with other users — including legal fees we incur defending against such claims.

13. Privacy

Your use of Kribs is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. By using the Service you consent to the data practices described there.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page. Continued use of Kribs after the “Last updated” date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you don’t agree with a change, your only remedy is to stop using the Service and delete your account.

15. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Kribs will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
