Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Kribs uses cookies and similar storage technologies on kribs.app. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser to remember things between page loads — like the fact that you’re signed in. Kribs also uses localStorage, a similar browser feature that stores small amounts of data on your device until you clear it. We refer to both as “cookies” for short throughout this policy.
2. What we use
Essential
These are required for Kribs to work. They keep you signed in across page loads (a session cookie that lasts up to seven days) and remember the listings you’ve saved to your wishlist (stored on your device until you clear browser data). You can’t opt out without breaking sign-in or save functionality.
Functional
None at the moment. If we add features like “remembered filter preferences”, they’ll appear here.
Analytics
We use three analytics services to understand how Kribs is used and where the experience can improve. Each sets its own cookies under its own privacy terms — links below:
- Google Analytics — aggregate pageviews, devices, and referrers. Google’s privacy policy.
- PostHog — product analytics (which buttons get clicked, where users drop off). PostHog’s privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — session replays and heatmaps so we can see how the page actually feels to use. Microsoft’s privacy statement.
None of these tools receive your name, email, phone, or anything you type into form fields — input contents are masked before leaving your browser. To opt out of all three at once, block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
3. Third-party cookies
We don’t intentionally set any third-party cookies on kribs.app. However, when you sign in with Google, you’re briefly redirected to Google’s domain — Google may set its own cookies during that flow under its own privacy terms.
4. Managing cookies
- Sign out — clears your auth cookie. Your wishlist stays parked under your account ID for next time you sign in.
- Clear browser data (Settings → Privacy → Clear data) — removes everything Kribs has stored on your device, including your wishlist.
- Block cookiesat the browser level. Note that Kribs requires cookies to keep you signed in — blocking them means you’ll be signed out on every page load.
5. Do Not Track
Kribs doesn’t currently respond to Do Not Track signals because we don’t do behavioural tracking — there’s nothing for the signal to disable. If we add an analytics tool in the future, we’ll honour DNT and update this section.
6. Changes
If we add more cookies or change how existing ones work, we’ll update this page. The “Last updated” date at the top is the source of truth for the current version.
