Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Kribs (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information when you use our website at kribs.app and related services (the “Service”). Kribs is operated by Araxys Technologies.
By using Kribs you agree to the practices described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create your Kribs account. We never see your Google password.
Saved listings.Your wishlist of saved kribs is stored in your browser’s local storage and tied to your account’s ID. It doesn’t leave your device.
Usage data. Pages you visit, listings you view, and basic device information (browser, screen size). We use this only to fix bugs and improve the product.
What we don’t collect.We don’t collect your contact list, precise location, or any sensitive personal information. We don’t require a phone number from you to use Kribs (this may change in a future release — we’ll update this policy first).
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — show listings, save your wishlist, deliver Enquire / Contact actions.
- To communicate with you — only essential service emails (account changes, security notices). No marketing without your opt-in.
- To improve Kribs — fix bugs, understand which features are useful, plan new ones.
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only with:
- Service providers that help run Kribs — hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), authentication (Google). They process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality.
- Legal requirements — when we’re legally compelled to disclose information (e.g., subpoena, court order).
4. Listings shown on Kribs
Listings on Kribs come from public Facebook groups. The lister’s name, listing photos, contact phone (if visible in the original post), and post URL are republished as-is. We do not contact, endorse, or vet the listers.
When you click Enquire on Facebook or Contact, we redirect you to the lister’s chosen channel (the original FB post, or WhatsApp). What you share with them after that is between you and them.
If you’re a lister and want your post removed from Kribs, email us at hello@kribs.app with a link to the post and we’ll take it down within 7 days.

6. Data retention
- Account data — kept while your account is active. Email hello@kribs.app to delete it any time.
- Wishlist — stored in your browser; cleared when you clear browser data or sign out (your account’s saves stay parked under your user ID for the next time you sign in).
- Server logs — kept up to 30 days for debugging, then deleted.
7. Your rights
You can:
- Ask what personal information we have about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your wishlist.
Email hello@kribs.appto make any of these requests. We’ll respond within 30 days.
8. Children
Kribs is not intended for users under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard practices (HTTPS everywhere, service-role key for server-side DB writes only, OAuth via Google for sign-in). No system is perfectly secure — if you spot something, please tell us at hello@kribs.app.
10. Grievance Officer
In compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the following officer is appointed to address concerns about how Kribs handles your personal information, or to receive takedown requests from listers whose posts appear on Kribs.

We aim to acknowledge every grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receipt. For takedown requests (e.g., a lister wanting their post removed from Kribs), please include a link to the listing and a brief reason — we’ll remove it within 7 days.
11. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top is the source of truth for which version is currently in effect. Significant changes will be highlighted at the top of this page when they happen.
